1) Chimneyhouse Kittens must be contacted if at any time the buyer is unable to keep the kitten. This kitten will never be placed in an animal shelter or sold to a research or testing facility.

2) Chimneyhouse Kittens suggests that all buyers visit their vet within three days of purchase. Chimneyhouse will accept any Chimneyhouse kitten within the first three days from the date of sale with a refund less $300 from the purchase price. We will accept a kitten back after three days but the refund will be determined on a case by case basis by Chimneyhouse Kittens. All kittens returning to our cattery must have a Health Certificate issued no more than two days prior to the return if more than three days has lapsed.

3) Chimneyhouse Kittens are sold with the understanding they are not to be declawed. Declawing surgically removes the tips of the cat's "fingers." Declawing is a mutilation and cruelty that often alters the kitten's/cat's temperament and health. Declawing voids all protections of this contract for the Buyer.

4) Buyer agrees to maintain proper veterinary care for their kitten/cat including yearly checkups and vaccinations. Buyer agrees to immediately inform Breeder of any genetic issues so that proper tracking of the inheritance can be done, affected cats removed from the breeding programs and pet owners notified.

5) Buyer agrees to provide this kitten/cat with daily love, affection and attention; including playing, grooming and feeding a high quality diet. We recommend Eukanuba kibble and Science Diet Kitten canned food canned food. Buyer will provide fresh water at all times along with a generous amount of daily exercise, to provide it with toys and not to cage it as a general rule. Buyer will provide the kitten/cat with a properly maintained litter box at all times.

6) Pets must be altered by six-months-of-age. Registration papers will be held until a copy of a receipt from a licensed veterinarian indicating the animal has been altered is received by Chimneyhouse Kittens.

7) Kittens/Cats will be checked by our veterinarian just before leaving and will have had the appropriate vaccination for its age and been de-wormed. Please follow-up with vaccinations and worming schedule according to your veterinarians' recommendations.

8) Chimneyhouse Kittens guarantees kittens for genetic defects for one year if that said defect is evidenced in an autopsy report. Chimneyhouse will replace that kitten with another of the same type (pet/breed/show). No cash refunds will be given.

9) Chimneyhouse Kittens are no longer responsible for the cat/kitten once it has been released to airline employees/or shipping agents of any kind; or owner. Additional insurance can be purchased through the airline.

10) Buyer agrees that if any of the terms of this agreement are violated, breeder may reclaim this kitten without refund of purchase price. The buyer agrees to pay all court costs if this contract is litigated, and that any suit shall be filed and tried in Iowa under the law of Iowa.
